| So, I've got a real job now.
Let me get this straight. Wander hopelessly around Columbus for a year and half and get turned down time after time. Move to Louisville. Get a job at the first place you interviewed with after two weeks of searching.
That means Columbus is dumb. But you all already knew that.
I'm now you're run of the mill 8-5er. It's a pretty relaxed, casual place. They've got me working on a "meaningless" project right now, so I can learn C# and ASP.NET. I feel like I don't know a darn thing and it's a little intimidating. I'm not sure how fast they expect me to become "expert level" at this stuff. It's a real small place and two people are quitting. One's last day was friday. The other one has another week or two. When he leaves it will just be the project manager type person (who just happens to be a genius and is actually over 2 years younger than I am, yikes!), this other guy who has only been there 3 months and still isn't working at 100%, and little old me who doesn't know what's what yet. They are looking to hire more people.
So the past week I have been trying to become less ignorant about Visual Studio and .NET crap. I wish they would have taught me THIS in school. No one in the real world uses Borland and VIDE. And they certainly don't use CGI for their web projects. It should have been .NET, .NET, and more .NET.
Oh well, I am coming along ok. If I get to the point to where I can actually understand the conversations that are happening around me, it will probably get a lot less intimidating.
There are only three weeks until Ohio State starts. It's getting about that time. I'm long over due for some football. |

| So I don't ever post movies.
But this is funny.
Oh, yeah... there is some bad language.
